Nobody believes in Nick Mullens and the Vikings in this spot. More than 80% of the bets are currently backing the Lions on the spread, but the Vikings have moved from +3 to +2.5 on most books. Oddsmakers are expecting a much closer game than the public…
This Lions defense has been tested in recent weeks. They’ve given up more than 26 points in four of their last five, and although the Vikings didn’t get a win last week, their offense looked the best it has in over a month with Nick Mullins under center. He has plenty of weapons with JJettas and Jordan Addison leading the way.
This total has been on the rise since it opened. The higher total is a great sign for Vikings backers. Everyone is worried about their offense, but I’m willing to bet they’ll be able to hang with Jared Goff on the road; he’s been struggling on the road in the latter-half of the season.
We saw Ty Chandler provide a spark for this offense not just in the ground game, but in the air as well. This Vikings team almost pulled out a win last week on the road with Mullens throwing two interceptions. If he can limit the mistakes, which I’m sure has been a point of focus this week at practice, they will be in this game until the final whistle.
Fade Jared Goff and the Lions on the road as short favorites. We’ve seen this movie before with Goff and the Lions needing a big win on the road, and more often than not, they fall short. I’m fully expecting Minnesota to keep this game within a field goal at home. Back the Vikings in a must-win spot here.
