Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings Prediction
It’s been a rotating shuffle of quarterbacks under center in Minnesota since Kirk Cousins went down with a season-ending injury. It’s clear that Kevin O’Connell wants a more conservative option at QB after the Nick Mullins experience. The Vikings found success in the pass game with him, but he was too turnover prone for this team to be successful.
I’m expecting a much more conservative approach for the Vikings on Sunday night. Their defensive line is sneaky good, and they won’t have to score 20+ points to win this game. The Vikings don’t need to push the ball down the field as much, hence why they’re making the move back to Hall under center.
After a few weeks of good football, this young Packers team is struggling again. They’ve lost two of their last three games, and barely beat the Panthers last week. Jordan Love has had his fair share of turnovers this season too, and I’m banking on him throwing at least one interception on Sunday night.
I don’t think either of these offenses will put up as many points as they have been the last few weeks. The Packers have drawn some really bad defenses in recent weeks, leading to high scoring games, but they’ll face a stout Vikings attack on Sunday that’s still underrated in Week 17 of the NFL season.
With the total creeping down, fade both of these young offenses on Sunday night and bet the under. Primetime divisional games have been under central over the years, and I’m not expecting anything different tonight. The Packers defense will look better this week after getting embarrassed by Bryce Young in a game they almost lost last week, and the Vikings will run a must more conservative offense. Bet the under, and I’ll meet you at the cash counter.
