Detriot begins the contest sitting on top of the division and a win tonight would position them extremely well to win the NFC North. Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers Prediction
The Lions have posted an 11-1 record so far this season.Last week, Detriot held on to defeat the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Day. At this point, most people believe the Lions are the team to beat in the NFC.
Dan Campbell's team has not just beaten the other teams this season; they have destroyed them. The Lions have a point differential of +180. That point differential is the best in the NFL.
Detroit controls their destiny to win back-to-back conference championships and the No. 1 in the NFC.
Former first-overall pick Jared Goff leads the offense with 2,982 yards, 22 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. The Lions' running game, with Jahymr Gibbs and David Montgomery, is the best in football.
The two running backs have combined for 1,693 yards and 21 touchdowns. Amon-Ra St. Brown has racked up 820 receiving yards to lead the team.
Detroit ranks second in points allowed per game (16.9).
Green Bay pulls into this contest with a 9-3 record.
After losing their season opener against the Eagles, Green Bay has won nine of their last eleven games. The Packers have a real opportunity to win a Super Bowl this season, and beating Detroit would go a long way. Green Bay got blown out at home earlier in the season against the Lions, so they're looking for revenge.
Tonight is a must-win for the Packers to keep their hopes alive of winning the NFC North. The Packers have ripped off three straight wins after the loss. Most recently, Green Bay defeated the Dolphins, 30-17, on Thanksgiving Night.
Former Utah State standout Jordan Love leads the offense with 2,518 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, and eleven interceptions. Josh Jacobs has been outstanding in his first year in Green Bay. Jacobs has rushed for 987 yards and eight touchdowns. Jayden Reed has collected a team-leading 693 yards and six touchdowns.
The Packers rank 9th in points allowed per game (20.0).
