The Detroit Lions will host the Washington Commanders on Saturday night. Ford Field will be the site for this long-awaited clash for both franchises.
Washington enters the game off an upset win on Sunday Night Football over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers las week. The game was back-and-forth throughout, and came down to a game-winning field goal opportunity for the Commanders. Zane Gonzalez delivered the biggest kick of his career, as the ball doinked off the goal post and went through the uprights.
Washington won their first playoff game since 2006. The Commanders had lost four consecutive playoff games. Head coach Dan Quinn and the Commanders have exceeded expectations this season. Washington has not won a Super Bowl since 1991, and it would be a serious long shot for them to get there.
