Matt McCuen is expecting a hot start and strong victory for Philly, and explains why in his Rams vs. Eagles prediction for the NFC Divisional Round.

Rams vs. Eagles Prediction, Pick Against the Spread, Latest Odds for NFC Divisional Round

The Los Angeles Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles will clash from the City of Brotherly Love on Sunday afternoon.

The Rams enter this contest after a comfortable win over the Minnesota Vikings. Sean McVay's team entered the season expected to finish toward the back end of the NFC West. The Rams posted a record of 10-7 this season, after a slow start at 1-4.

LA has been red-hot lately, winning six of their last seven games. Their lone loss in that span came against the Seattle Seahawks when they sat their starters at the end of the season.

These two teams clashed earlier in the season on November 24th. Philly blew out Los Angeles, 37-20, on the road. The Eagles offense racked up 481 yards in the win. LA will need to play much better on the defensive side of the football today to give themselves a chance.

Rams vs. Eagles Prediction

Veteran Matthew Stafford has thrown for 3,762 yards, 20 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Former Notre Dame standout Kyren Williams has rushed for 1,299 yards and 14 touchdowns. Puka Nacua leads the Rams with 990 receiving yards, while Cooper Kupp dominated with six receiving touchdowns. The Rams rank 15th in points allowed per game (21.9).

The Eagles begin the contest with a 14-3 record. That record was the second-best in the NFC. Philly earned an NFC East Championship, and entered the postseason as one of the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Philadelphia reached the Super Bowl two years ago, where they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. On paper, the Eagles are the most talented team in the NFC. Anything less than a championship will be a disappointment for this Eagles team.

The Eagles have dominated at home this season, with a record of 8-1. The Birds' lone home loss came in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons. Nick Sirianni's team outlasted the Green Bay Packers last weekend, winning 22-10. The Eagles' offense was lackluster, but their defense dominated the game from start to finish.

Jalen Hurts leads the Eagles offense with 2,903 passing yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Saquon Barkley will likely become the NFL Offensive Player of the Year in a few weeks. Barkley has rushed for 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns. A.J. Brown leads the Birds with 1,079 receiving yards. DeVonta Smith has collected eight team-leading touchdowns. The Eagles rank first in points allowed per game (17.4).

Rams vs. Eagles Picks

Despite playing awful on offense last weekend, the Eagles dominated the contest from start to finish.

Hurts and the Eagle's offense will be much sharper this week.

Los Angeles has had trouble protecting Stafford this season and will struggle to slow down the Eagle's offensive line.

The conditions in this game will favor the Eagles and their rushing game.
