Montreal is a massive 13.5-point home favorite at -112, with Ottawa +13.5 (-108). The Alouettes are -850 on the moneyline, the Redblacks are +575, and the total sits at a lofty 62.5 with the Under priced at -115. The matchup airs on CBS Sports Network in the United States.
Montreal enters Week 12 at 8-1 and remains the class of the CFL after beating Edmonton 48-30 in its most recent game. Davis Alexander threw for 352 yards and four touchdowns in that win, three of them to Tyson Philpot, as an Alouettes offense that has been dangerous throughout the season overwhelmed another West contender.

Ottawa Redblacks vs. Montreal Alouettes Prediction
Ottawa remains winless at 0-9 after a 33-21 loss in Winnipeg last Friday. Jake Maier threw for 314 yards and two touchdowns, but the Redblacks managed only 27 rushing yards and once again struggled to turn enough drives into points. Ottawa has now scored 21 or fewer in three straight games, losing 34-13 to Montreal, 42-20 to Saskatchewan and 33-21 to Winnipeg during that stretch.
The season series also provides two very different examples of how this matchup can develop. Montreal escaped with a 37-35 victory in the first meeting, but the rematch was far more decisive as Alexander threw for 420 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-13 Alouettes win. Ottawa showed offensive upside in the first matchup, but its recent form looks much closer to what happened in the second.
Montreal has now won 13 consecutive meetings against Ottawa, making the -13.5 spread understandable. The concern with laying such a large number is that the Alouettes do not necessarily need to maintain an aggressive offensive pace for four quarters if they establish another comfortable advantage early.
The 62.5 total requires significant help from Ottawa unless Montreal threatens 40 points again. Even a score such as 35-20 finishes comfortably below the number, and the Redblacks have repeatedly struggled to finish drives against stronger defenses. Montreal should also have opportunities to dictate game flow and force Ottawa into difficult passing situations.

Backing Montreal outright at -850 offers nothing, while laying nearly two touchdowns introduces unnecessary late-game risk. The total provides the cleaner way to attack the mismatch, with Ottawa's struggling offense making 62.5 a difficult number to clear even if the Alouettes control the game.
