Well we have a loaded slate this Saturday as we tend to on the ice and I am ready to get after it. To kick things off, we dive into a Central Division clash between two rivals who have had a fun stretch against each other the last few seasons, the Minnesota Wild (28-26-2) and the St. Louis Blues (30-26-3). St. Louis has dominated in recent years going 13-5-1 against them since 2019 and they took care of business in the playoffs against Minny in the first round two years ago but now the Wild are getting their licks back having taken four of the last five.

Minnesota Wild vs. St. Louis Blues Prediction
St. Louis is absolutely falling apart, but I can't even be surprised at this point. This is the third or fourth time this season the notes have gone on a terrific run followed by poor play with very little explanation. With that said, they are about due for the pendulum to swing back their way, and Minnesota seems like a great team for them to do it against.
We have been really dialing it in on these first period totals lately, and I am looking to keep it going. St. Louis is the second best first period over team in the league at 38/59 hitting at a 64.41% clip, and are 7-3 across their last 10. They score just shy of a goal per game in the first period, and have been conceding north of a goal per game in the first, over the last two weeks that has all been amplified. I have been to a couple of these day/early evening games between these squads and they tend to be pacey, I am trusting the trend to continue and goals to come early here.
