Buffalo Sabres vs. Toronto Maple Leafs Prediction: Expect Auston Matthews, Maple Leafs to Light the Lamp
It's a pretty small board for us to choose from here - can't be too mad about that, the last two weeks we have had a handful of hockey everyday - but we still have two really solid matchups on the board and I am ready to dive in. The Buffalo Sabres (29-29-4) are heading up north to Ontario, Canada for a clash with the Toronto Maple Leafs (35-18-8) at the Scotiabank Arena in a game that should see the lamp lit consistently.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Toronto Maple Leafs Prediction
Nine of the last ten meetings between these two squads head-to-head have gone over and I just don't see a reason to expect otherwise tonight. The average score across the last five meetings is 9.2 GPG. That is absurd. Buffalo has taken three of the last four, two of three this season and the last two straight.
They won 6-4 at the Scotiabank arena back in November and embarrassed the Leafs on home ice when they met in December routing them by a final score of 9-3. This is a revenge game for the Leafs against an opponent they must see as inferior in their eyes and I like them to pounce.
This is not a lookahead spot for the Leafs considering they just got throttled 4-1 by the Burins on Monday, this s a get right game and one they should be able to do so in. You do not want to get killed in the season series by an inferior team and they are currently being outscored 17-12 on the season by the Sabres. Buying the hook here to be safe but I love this one.
