This is so square and I do not care. The night before the trade deadline, a lot can happen for any of these teams and a lot will likely go down between the time I write this article and the pucks start dropping. With that said, I expect no negative changes for either of these squads and they both ride so much momentum into this game so I am all about it.
NHL Parlay Today
Leg 1: Philadelphia Flyers vs. Florida Panthers
The Flyers (32-23-8) have shocked everyone this year and are in playoff position but no-one can touch the Cats (43-16-4) right now. They are not just my Stanley Cup favorite - posted an article y'all can check out - they are now they Stanley Cup favorite. They traded for veteran sniper Vladimir Taresenko on Wednesday and this team is terrifying for anyone in their path now.
Carter Verhaeghe, Aleksander Barkov, Sam Reinhart, Matthew Tkachuk, Sam Bennet and Vladimir Taresenko make up the top six. The third line is lethal too with Loustarinen, Lundell and Rodrigues. Forsling, Ekblad, Montour and Mikkola make up the top eight on the back end with Sergei and Stolarz playing the best hockey (legit sporting 2.07 and 2.29 GAA's) of any net minders in the league. Don't care who they play, they have won 16 of 18 and are so dangerous.
Leg 2: Edmonton Oilers vs. Columbus Blue Jackets
This is sort of a trappy game for the big squad against the home dog but not one I am too concerned with. Edmonton had an incredible win with two goals in the final five minutes of game time over Boston to win in overtime the other night, I love the momentum they have and there is simply no excuse for losing here. Columbus has won three of the last four head-to-head, time for the boys to take care of business.
