Novak Djokovic vs. Cameron Norrie Wimbledon Prediction
Novak Djokovic was the overwhelming pre-tournament favorite to win his fourth consecutive Wimbledon title with -120 odds. Heading into the semifinals, Djokovic is now -400 to win the title and is a massive -1600 moneyline favorite over No. 9 seed Cameron Norrie. This match will be highly entertaining, if not just to witness the All England Club crowd trying to spur their countryman to victory. However, given how Djokovic has dominated this event, Norrie will take much more than crowd motivation to pull the upset.
Although Djokovic dropped the first two sets of his quarterfinal match against Jannik Sinner, there was no panic in the six-time Wimbledon champion, as he cruised through the final three sets and dropped just seven total games in the process. The win was Djokovic’s seventh at a Grand Slam event when losing the first two sets and his third such win at Wimbledon. Had this been a regular ATP event, Djokovic would be packing his bags, but that is why it is so tough to beat him at a Grand Slam event, as he has shown more often than not that he will get the better of his opponent over five sets.

To this point, Cameron Norrie has been a great story, becoming the fourth Brit to reach the semifinals at Wimbledon in the Open era, joining Roger Taylor, Tim Henman, and most recently, Andy Murray. However, Norrie had not made it past the third round of a Grand Slam event before this year. Thus, it is fair to wonder if this semifinal appearance has as much to do with his stellar play as it does with a favorable draw and the circumstances under which this tournament was played. Remember, Wimbledon banned world No. 1 Daniil Medvedev and all other players from Russia and Belarus this year.
Norrie benefitted from a quarter where Casper Ruud and Hubert Hurkacz were the only higher-seeded players ahead of him. And as it played out, he only had to face one seeded player, No. 30 seed Tommy Paul, on his run to the semifinals. Despite that, Norrie has still labored through this path, enduring two five-set victories in his five matches.
Djokovic has not lost a semifinal match or later at Wimbledon since 2013, and he is not about to now, even if the pro-Norrie crowd will be against him. We expect Djokovic to know how important it is to take the crowd out of the match with a convincing first-set victory (we even throw in some exact score predictions) en route to an anti-climatic straight-set win.
