The 19-year-old defeated Lorenzo Musetti 6-4, 6-3 before dismantling Jiri Lehecka 6-3, 6-3 in only 74 minutes, winning 86% of his first-serve points against the Czech. Jodar has now reached the quarterfinals in seven of his past eight tournaments since April and carries a 33-12 tour-level record this season.
Fils has been nearly as impressive. The Frenchman is 26-9 in 2026, won the Barcelona title and has now reached four Masters 1000 quarterfinals this season. In Montreal, he dispatched Mariano Navone 6-3, 6-2 before surviving a much more competitive second set against Cameron Norrie to win 6-2, 7-6(8). His forehand remains the biggest individual weapon in this matchup, and his ability to generate offense quickly prevents Jodar from settling into passive baseline patterns.
