In a break from tradition, Euro 2020 won’t be hosted in a single country, but will instead be spread across the continent. This means 12 cities, each in a different European country, will host group stage games and several also hosting the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final.
The original 2020 fixtures have been copied and pasted onto the 2021 calendar, with all 12 host cities still staging the same matches as originally planned.
The 12 host cities are:
Country | City | Stadium |
---|---|---|
Italy | Rome | Stadio Olimpico |
Azerbaijan | Baku | Olympic Stadium |
England | London | Wembley Stadium |
Germany | Munich | Allianz Arena |
Russia | St Petersburg | Krestovsky Stadium |
Romania | Bucharest | Arena Națională |
Spain | Bilbao | San Mamés |
Scotland | Glasgow | Hampden Park |
Ireland | Dublin | Aviva Stadium |
Hungary | Budapest | Puskás Aréna |
Netherlands | Amsterdam | Johan Cruyff Arena |
Denmark | Copenhagen | Parken Stadium |
All 12 cities will host games in the group stage, while only these cities will host matches in the knockout stages:

In addition to all of the usual wagers you’d expect to be able to make, bookmakers are offering great odds on other betting markets, such as which team and/or player will score first in an individual match, which player will be the tournament’s top scorer, and whether each team will manage to knock one (or more) into the back of the net before the end of a game.
The top scorer betting market is one of the most interesting as it has two key factors that need to be considered.
Firstly, you need to weigh up which teams are going to go further into the competition. A country that’s knocked out in the group stage is unlikely to have Euro 2020’s top goal scorer on its team sheet. The further they get, the more opportunity each player has to bag some more goals.
Secondly, you need to factor in what players are going to get the most time on the pitch and whether they have what it takes to convert that time into goals. That includes whether the player will be taking penalties and free kicks as they also count towards the final tally.
If you’re looking to make a top scorer bet, check out our Euro 2020 betting tips to be sure you have all the information to make the right choices.
The first scorer bet is one of the simplest, you pick the player you think is most likely to score a goal first and it pays off if you’re correct. If you’re looking to make a bet on who will be the first scorer in any of the Euro 2020 matches, check out our Euro 2020 betting tips for helpful insights.
Half time and full time bets are where you make a wager on which team will be ahead after 45 and/or 90 minutes. If you think the teams will be tied at either of these intervals, you can also place a bet on it being a draw.
For all the best insight for Euro 2020 half time/full time bets be sure to check out our latest Euro 2020 betting tips.
Betting on whether both teams will score in a game is another easy bet to understand. There are two possible outcomes: yes or no. When placing bets of this nature, it’s important to consider the defensive records of both sides. Of course, a team can win while still conceding, so you will want to look for matches where both teams have weak defences and strong attacking abilities.
