oddschecker Verdict

WOOTTON KING, a 240,000gns half-brother to a pair of Hong Kong Group 1 winners, showed plenty of the family talent when runner-up to a similarly smart prospect over C&D. That experience won't be lost on him and he can head into winter quarters on a high. Strike Force Max should be better for his Salisbury sixth, although bigger dangers probably lurk among the unraced brigade. Andrew Balding runs two, with St Mark's Basilica colt Chariots Of Fire preferred to Bayside Waltz, even though the latter cost 300,000gns as a yearling.

Prediction: 1st Wootton King, 2nd Chariots Of Fire, 3rd Bayside Waltz
