Smart dual-purpose performer Hot Fuss returned from a summer break to score at Ascot and should be able to mount another serious bid off 3lb higher, but CODIAK has greater potential as a stayer at this stage of his career. Ed Bethell's charge has won three of his last four starts, including over 1m6f at Nottingham back in April. He's 4lb higher for this return, but two miles could elicit even more improvement. Guildmaster is another to consider.
