MAESTRO DEL MAR has been beaten a fair way in novice events at Southwell and Epsom, but his only previous foray into handicap company resulted in a narrow Kempton defeat at the hands of a rival who has progressed well in both codes since. A recent gelding operation may help get the best out of him. Kokoluna's good run of form came to an end at Nottingham, although she can't be written off on the back of one moderate effort. Hamdania should be able to do better now back on the all-weather.
