Kempton Park is 16 miles south-west of London. Opened in 1878, it is the home of the King George VI Chase on Boxing Day. A synthetic all-weather track was added in 2006 for year-round racing.
In 2006 Kempton Park redeveloped it's tracks to incorporate all weather racing. The Polytrack and floodlighting have been in place since 2006 and can accomodate up to 17 runners at a time. Horses race right-handed over distances of 5f, 6f, 7f, 1m, 1m3f, 1m4f and 2m.
The 1m 5f triangular course used for National Hunt meetings is a totally fair, flat track which should suit most horses. It s not too tight, not too galloping and requires speed and stamina in equal measure.
