Encounter and I Am Royal have both shown more than enough to suggest they'll be heavily involved, although HAYATE is fancied to break his duck at the second time of asking. Roger Varian's colt has been absent since finishing third at Newmarket in July, but that form has worked out extremely well and natural improvement may suffice on that evidence. Clive Cox saddles two newcomers and both might be worth more than a cursory glance.
