Klopp & Hasenhuttl Sack Race Odds: Price Swings from the Premier League Weekend

Klopp & Hasenhuttl Sack Race Odds: Price Swings from the Premier League Weekend

We’ve picked out five of the biggest price swings from the Premier League weekend as the sack race odds shift the spotlight on to Jurgen Klopp & Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Jurgen Klopp (Next Manager to Leave) 25/1 > 6/1

The biggest move of the week sees Jurgen Klopp tumble spectacularly in the next manager to leave market after Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat to Leeds United. The German continues to face talk of his seven-year itch - Klopp left both Mainz and Borussia Dortmund after seven seasons; in his last year at Dortmund, the club were in the relegation zone at Christmas before bouncing back to finish 7th.

Ralph Hasenhuttl (Next Manager to Leave) 6/1 > 15/8

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is another shortener in the Premier League sack race market (in from 6/1 best price to 15/8 with one bookmaker) after his side’s 1-0 defeat at Selhurst Park was quickly followed by the unexpected win for Jesse Marsch’s Leeds at Anfield. The Saints have scored just four time in seven away matches.

Newcastle (Top 4 Finish) 4/1 > 11/5

Having flagged their move in the top 6 finish market this time last week, it's onwards and upwards for Eddie Howe's Newcastle. Beating Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium had seen their odds on a top 4 finish come in from 8/1 to a best price 4/1. Six days on and Saturday's ruthless victory over Villa saw the price tumble once again to 13/5 (11/5 in places).

Bournemouth (Relegation) 8/11 > 1/2

Just over two weeks ago, some bookmakers were offering EVENS on Gary O'Neil's Bournemouth getting relegated after they drew with Fulham to make it six Premier League games unbeaten. Even before Saturday's defeat to Spurs - a third in a row for the Cherries - you could get 8/11 in the same market, but now they are as short as 1/2 in places (4/6 best price).

Liverpool (Finish Outside the Top 4) 6/5 > 4/6

Liverpool's 1-0 win over champions Manchester City on Sunday 16th October was meant to be the Reds' springboard to a renewed Premier League title challenge. Despite their difficult start, that result saw one bookmaker go out to as long as 7/4 on Klopp's side finishing outside of the top 4 places.

In fact, you could get 5/2 before their dismal defeat to Nottingham Forest a week ago and 6/5 even after drawing a blank against the league's bottom side. Having lost again against Leeds on Saturday night, some bookmakers have shortened to 4/6 (10/11 best price).
