Any Second Now tops most backed ante-post list

Using data starting from when the ante-post market for the Grand National 2022 opened last year, Any Second Now - third in last year's race - has taken 6.96% of the bets through oddschecker. 

He edged out another of the favourites Escaria Ten in his prep run at Fairyhouse last month, which saw him shorten considerably from a best price 16/1. The JP McManus-owned 10-year-old is still available at a best price 9/1 but is as short as 7/1 in some places.

Snow Leopardess to end 10-year wait for a grey winner?

Snow Leopardess is a best price 14/1 to become the first grey winner of the Grand National since Neptune Collonges in 2012.

The first dam to run in the Grand National for 100 years is the leading British contender and sits at the top of this list of most backed ante-post horses for the Aintree race so far this year.

Since the start of this year, Snow Leopardess has taken 6.94% of the bets on the Grand National 2022 through oddschecker. She is also the most backed ante-post horse of the entire season outside of those for the Cheltenham Festival.
