Tip 1: MAESTRO CONTI - 1 Pt Win

Best odds of 4/1 at PricedUp while publishing.

MAESTRO CONTI (4/1) lines up here for the Skelton’s and horses who ran at Cheltenham but didn’t quite manage to win there have a good record in this race.

Maestro Conti was unlucky to get beat at Cheltenham but was very impressive on Trials Day and at Kempton and I think he’s an appealing price given those performances and he’s my first play on the opening day of the Aintree festival.

Tip 2: SNIPE - 0.5 Pts EW (4 Places)

Best odds of 50/1 available at Unibet, William Hill while publishing.

SNIPE (50/1) is the second string for Dan Skelton with Unexpected Party being towards the front end of the betting but I’d definitely be interested in this 9-year-old who is now Hunter Chasing.

He’s won two of his three Hunter Chases and is now in much better shape than he had been when running in more competitive handicaps. He is one who has enjoyed this step down in class and provided he enjoys the by field nature of this race then the price available for him could end up looking a bit silly.

Tip 3: JASKO DES DAMES - 0.5 Pts EW (4 Places)

Best odds of 16/1 available at bet365, Boyle Sports while publishing.

JASKO DES DAMES (16/1) is an interesting runner for Henry De Bromhead and this race could well have been the season long target as it was when Dancing On My Own won this race for him when treading the same path through the season.

He ran well in the Grand Annual where he finished 5th and that race was a step back in the right direction after a couple of disappointing efforts and he may well come forward again for that run.

If enjoying this track then he could well get competitive and if that the case then I’ll be hoping that today is the day where he wants to go past the others at the finish.
