MLB Farm System Rankings: Ranking Every MLB Team's Farm System

In the MLB it is very important to have a top-ranked farm system. A really good farm system can either help an organization develop a team or help the organization add MLB-caliber players to a roster for a run at the World Series. However, every organization is run differently. Some teams haven't hit on prospects in a while. Other teams traded away their farm trying to win a World Series. Before the 2022 MLB Draft, here are our rankings for the best MLB farm system.

1. Baltimore Orioles Farm System

The Orioles have been drafting extremely high for years. They better have some good players in their system. Baltimore had Adley Rutschman in the system for a while and still has Grayson Rodriguez, who is one of the most highly touted pitchers in the minors.

2. Seattle Mariners Farm System

The Mariners love to bring in young talent. But for whatever reason, those young studs never turn into big-time players. We'll see what happens with this farm system.

3. Tampa Bay Rays Farm System

Not only do the Rays win, but they're always adding incredible talent through the farm system. When you have a winning team and a top-three farm system, things are going well. Some of their prospects have come into the majors already between Shane Baz, Josh Lowe, and Vidal Brujan.

4. Arizona Diamondbacks Farm System 5. Los Angeles Dodgers Farm System

The Dodgers always replenish their system to trade those guys away at the trade deadline. It works every year. That's one insane organization.

6. Miami Marlins Farm System

7. Pittsburgh Pirates Farm System

We just got a taste of Oneil Cruz. Wait until we get to see Nick Gonzales and Henry Davis.

8: Kansas City Royals Farm System 9. Texas Rangers Farm System

We're all waiting for Jack Leiter to make his debut. Ezequiel Duran hasn't disappointed so far yet either.

10. Detroit Tigers Farm System

11. San Francisco Giants Farm System

12. Cleveland Guardians Farm System

The Guardians currently have five players on the Top 100 prospect list on MLB.com. That's good enough.

13. New York Yankees Farm System

The Yankees traded away a lot of talent for big-league players but still have four Top 100 players including Anthony Volpe, who is projected to be a stud.

14. Boston Red Sox Farm System 15. Cincinnati Reds Farm System 16. St. Louis Cardinals Farm System

The Cardinals called up Nolan Gorman and Matthew Liberatore. Now they're going to have just one Top 100 player before this year's draft.

17: San Diego Padres Farm System

18. Chicago Cubs Farm System

The Cubs traded away a lot of talent last year. And still only have two players on the Top 100 prospect list.

19. Minnesota Twins Farm System 20. New York Mets Farm System

The Mets have Francisco Alvarez and Brett Baty waiting to come up.

21. Toronto Blue Jays Farm System

With Gabriel Moreno on the big league club, the Blue Jays have just two players in the minors in the top 100.

22. Oakland Athletics Farm System

The Athletics went rebuild mode and couldn't bring in some of the big players. Not a good look.

23. Washington Nationals Farm System

With Josiah Gray and Keibert Ruiz, not prospects anymore, the Nationals will look to replenish their system again this upcoming trade deadline

24. Colorado Rockies Farm System

Eventually, the Rockies will start to show off their talent. They're just waiting on their international group to get going.

25. Milwaukee Brewers Farm System

26. Philadelphia Phillies Farm System

27: Atlanta Braves Farm System

With Michael Harris on the big league roster, the Braves don't have a single player in the Top 100 in the minors right now.

28: Los Angeles Angels Farm System

The same can be said about the Angels with Reid Detmers on the big league club.

29: Houston Astros Farm System

30. Chicago White Sox Farm System

The White Sox don't have a top 100 prospect.
