NBA Finals MVP Odds: Ranking the Top 5 NBA Finals MVP Candidates After 5 Games
The Warriors currently lead the Celtics in the NBA Finals, 3-2. When all is said and done, the best player in the NBA Finals will be crowned the MVP. Usually, the winning team will crown the best performing player with the MVP award.
With the Celtics heading back home, there's a real possibility that the NBA Finals goes to a full seven games. Let's rank the top five NBA Finals MVP candidates going into Game 6.

5. Jaylen Brown NBA Finals MVP Odds (+1800)Â (Bet $100 to win $1800)
At times, you can argue that Jaylen Brown has played better than Jayson Tatum. In the NBA Finals, Brown has averaged 21.4 points per game with 7.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game as well. However, Brown has shot just 28.3% from deep and 40.9% from the field. That has lowered his chances of winning the NBA Finals MVP. But if he carries the Celtics in the next two games, Brown could be a real candidate to win the NBA Finals MVP award.
4. Jayson Tatum NBA Finals MVP Odds (+400)Â (Bet $100 to win $400)
With the Warriors up 3-2 in the NBA Finals, the Celtics are sitting at +320 to win the NBA Finals. Because of that, Tatum is now fourth in the rankings, despite Tatum having the second-best odds to win it. Tatum is a streaky player. At times, his play will wow you, and other times you're yelling at him to wake up. But ultimately, he's averaged 23.2 points per game with 7.6 rebounds and 7 assists per game. He's also shooting 45.1% from deep but has had trouble finishing around the rim along with hitting foul shots. He gets the four spot.
3. Klay Thompson NBA Finals MVP Odds (+13000)Â (Bet $100 to win $13000)
The third-best player on the Warriors gets the third slot in the rankings. Klay Thompson is really starting to shoot out of his slump and has hit at least four threes in each of his last three games. Thompson is now averaging 18 points per game while shooting just under 36% from deep. Thompson likely won't be winning the award but if he knocks down 10 threes in Game 6 and scores 50 points, I guess he'll be considered.
2. Andrew Wiggins NBA Finals MVP Odds (+2000)Â (Bet $100 to win $2000)
I know Wiggins has the value here. However, it's still unlikely that he wins the award with the way Steph Curry has performed. Anyway, Wiggins has averaged 18.4 points per game along with 9.4 rebounds per game for the Warriors. In the last two games, Wiggins has been aggressive on the glass with 29 rebounds in those two games.
Everyone is talking about Curry going 0-for-9 from deep but Wiggins went 0-for-6 from deep in the same Game 5. Yes, Wiggins has played very good defense against Jayson Tatum and has been the x-factor for the Warriors, but ultimately, the award can only go to one player on the Warriors if they win it all.
1. Stephen Curry NBA Finals MVP Odds (-360)Â (Bet $360 to win $100)
Curry, despite having an off-game where he scored 16 points in Game 5, is still averaging over 30 points per game. One bad performance shouldn't take away from what he did in all the other four games that he played in.
Curry hasn't won the MVP in any of the Finals that he and the Warriors have won. If the Warriors win it this year, the MVP title is finding Curry's hands. There's no doubt about it and that's why he's also -360 to win it.
