Pacquiao vs. Ugas Fighter Records, Fight History, Odds & How to Watch

The boxing world was ready for Manny Pacquiao’s return. The best part was that, unlike Floyd Mayweather’s trip back in time to fight, Pacquiao planned to fight not just a good fighter, but a great fighter in Erol Spence Jr.

Spence Jr. is 27-0 in his career, just 31 years old and the No. 6 ranked pound-for-pound fighter in the entire world, according to Ringtv.com. But, just a few weeks before the fight against Pacquiao, Spence was forced to withdraw from the fight with an eye injury.

So, rather than wait for Spence to be ready for Pacquiao to fight his first fight in over two years, Yordenis Ugas has taken the fight on short notice and will take on Pacquiao this Saturday, August 21 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pacquiao vs. Ugas hardly carries the same type of name recognition and Pacquiao vs. Spence Jr., but there is plenty of reason to be intrigued by this fight.

Can a 42-year old Manny Pacquiao still contend at a high level? What do each fighters’ records look like? Who is favored when it comes to Pacquiao vs. Ugas odds? We break it all down and more aheas of Saturday’s mega-fight.

Yordenis Ugas Fight History

Yordernis Ugas’ fight history hardly has the same pedigree and name recognition as Pacquiao’s. But, it would be a big mistake for Manny to take this fight less seriously just because Ugas hasn’t beaten some of the best fighter in the world.

Ugas comes into the fighte riding a three fight win streak. As a matter of fact, his only loss in the past five years came against Shawn Porter, one of the best welterweights in the world. Ugas pushed Porter to the brink, but was eventually defeated via a split decision.

You won’t recognize a lot of the names he’s beaten, but he’s still a threat to take down Pacquiao.

Yordenis Ugas Fight Record

Yordenis Ugas is 26-4 in 30 professional fights.
