The 10 Most Dominant UFC Fighters of All Time

Next November will mark 30 years in business for the UFC, as the company has produced some of the greatest martial artists to ever step into a ring. What’s even scarier for competing organizations, is the UFC might just be getting started as the product turned out week after week to be amongst the best in sports television.

Let's take a look at the top 10 most dominant fighters, across all weight classes, to ever step inside of a UFC octagon.

10. Max Holloway

In his prime, which we’ll soon see at UFC 276 whether or not he's still there, Holloway was a fighter no one wanted to see. With wins over Frankie Edgar, Brian Ortega, Anthony Pettis, and Jose Also (two), all in their primes, Holloway has to be in this conversation and will confirm his spot with a win at UFC 276.

9. Amanda Nunes

The first woman to ever become a two-division champ, Nunes was just the third fighter to ever do it. On the way to both, Nunes beat some of the best women of all time in Ronda Rousey, Holly Holm, and Valentina Shevchenko.

8. Stipe Miocic

A two-time UFC heavyweight champ, Stipe is one of the best strikers the weight class has ever seen and currently sits with a record of 20-4. With wins over fellow all-time greats such as Daniel Cormier, Miocic is still very much active and the story is still unwritten.

7. Daniel Cormier

A champion at both light heavyweight and heavyweight at the same time, Cormier was the second fighter to ever hold two belts at once. Retiring with a record of 22-3-1, Cormier is firmly in the company’s top 10.

6. Conor McGregor

Arguably the biggest icon the sport has ever seen, McGregor also walked the walk in his prime. In addition, to holding two belts at once as well, McGregor has one of the fastest wins in UFC history knocking out Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds.

5. Demetrious Johnson

One of the more underrated fighters on this list, Mighty Mouse was a flyweight champion who still holds the record for the most takedowns in the division’s history.

4. Jon Jones

A guy that could never get out of his own way, Jones had the chance to go down as #1 on everyone’s list before trouble outside of the octagon. The record holder in the heavyweight division for longest win streak, most wins, and most title defenses, fight fans hope Jones can return.

3. George St. Pierre

Arguably the most skilled fighter on this list, GSP won both the welterweight and middleweight belts when in his prime. He returned in 2013 while still very much on top finishing 26-2.

2. Khabib Nurmagomedov

Khabib also retired on top, finishing his carer 29-0, almost all of them wins in decisive fashion. With wins over the likes of Rafael Dos Anjos and Conor McGregor, Khabib is no doubt the best grappler the sport has ever seen.

1. Anderson Silva

People seem to forget just how dominant The Spider was in his prime. Finishing his MMA career with a record of 34-11-1, Silva had wins against the likes of Rich Franklin and Vitor Belfort, Silva is one of the best strikers of his time and in his prime, the best fighter I have ever seen.
