Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs Odds: 66% of Bets Backing Bengals to Advance to Super Bowl LVII

The Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs are set to meet in the AFC Championship Game this weekend in Kansas City, Missouri. This is the second year in a row we are seeing these two teams face off with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line. Last year, it was the Bengals that came out on top.

We also saw these two teams meet in the regular season this past year and it was again the Bengals that got the win, 27-24. So, it makes sense that Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs odds are favoring the Bengals to win.

But, what exactly can we expect from these two teams when they meet for the second time this season? Well, thanks to an injury sustained in the Chiefs' win over the Jaguars last week, the main concern is Patrick Mahomes' health.

Mahomes, who will likely win the NFL MVP this season, is the heartbeat behind the Chiefs. He's the highest-paid player in the NFL and the face of the league. So, when he went down with a high-ankle sprain in the Divisonal Round it didn't look good for Kansas City.

Luckily for the Chiefs, Mahomes was able to tough it out and Chad Henne came in to back him up and lead the team to a win. But, there are significant questions about his health for this week.

The Bengals are on the road for the AFC Championship Game, but we already know that doesn't scare them. Last week, the Bengals went into a hostile environment in Buffalo as 5.5-point underdogs only to blow out the Bills.

Joe Burrow, Ja'Mar Chase, Tee Higgins, Joe Mixon and the rest of the Bengals' offense are peaking at the right time. Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes isn't even guaranteed to play on Sunday.

As you can see from the latest Chiefs vs. Bengals odds, the fact that the Chiefs are the top-seeded team in the AFC is having very little impact on how sportsbooks think they'll fare against the Bengals.

I have a feeling that a lot of this has to do with Patrick Mahomes' injury status, but the Bengals come into Sunday's game as 2-point favorites over the Chiefs, despite being on the road.

As for moneyline odds for the AFC Championship, the Chiefs sit at +108, implying a 48.1% chance they win outright. Meanwhile, the Bengals' -125 odds give them a 55.6% implied probability.

The betting public seems to be siding with the sportsbooks when it comes to picking a winner in this one as 66.67% of all bets on the moneyline are picking the Bengals to go to the Super Bowl.
