NFL Defensive Team Rankings Heading Into Week 10

32. Denver Broncos

The Broncos have allowed 27 points per game, with over 400 yards allowed per game. They've earned 17 sacks, but the yards and points are just way too high.

31. Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals have allowed 26 points per game while giving up 352.4 yards. They've got just one touchdown and 11 turnovers in nine games.

30. Chicago Bears

The Bears have only ten sacks in nine games this season.

29. Carolina Panthers

Carolina has allowed nearly 26 points per game, with seven turnovers all season. Luckily for them, two of those turnovers have resulted in touchdowns. But still, seven turnovers?

28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay just gave up nearly 500 yards to C.J. Stroud last weekend. Things are looking down for the Bucs.

27. Los Angeles Rams

The Rams have just four interceptions in the entire year. They've also added only 18 hurries this season.

26. Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals have 15 hurries this year. But at least they've now allowed under 20 points per game.

25. Tennessee Titans

The Titans have also allowed under 20 points per game. But they have two interceptions this year.

24. New York Giants

The Giants are improving, but 15 sacks in the entire year is weak.

23. New England Patriots

The Patriots are just slightly better with 18 sacks.

22. Kansas City Chiefs

The hype for the Chiefs will die down eventually. They've allowed nearly 300 yards per game defensively but have only given up 14.6 points. That'll change.

21. Houston Texans

The Texans have allowed only 97 yards rushing this season. But they've also only earned four interceptions and 17 sacks.

20. Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis has added 25 sacks and nine interceptions but has also allowed 26 points per game.

19. Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota has earned 20 turnovers so far this year.

18. Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers have added 31 sacks but have also allowed nearly 376 yards per game. You get the best of both worlds.

17. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are improving defensively, lowering their points per game to 19.1. But they've still given up 377.3 yards per game.

16. Washington Commanders

Washington has given up about 370 yards per game on defense, with teams scoring nearly 26 points per game.

15. Detroit Lions

Detroit has limited teams to under 19 points and 300 yards per game. They've been dominant against the run this year.

14. Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas will improve under new head coach Antonio Pierce. They'll really need to stop the run better.

13. Seattle Seahawks

The 27 sacks from the Seahawks have been really exciting.

12. Buffalo Bills

The Bills have earned 29 sacks with 17 turnovers.

11. Atlanta Falcons

Teams have averaged under 200 yards passing and just about 107 yards per game on the ground. That's above average.

10. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles have a dynamite pass rush. But what happened to the interceptions? Just four?

9. Green Bay Packers

The Packers have held teams to 196.1 yards in the air and have allowed only 19.6 points per game. If only the Packers had a reliable offense.

8. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are under the radar. Jacksonville hasn't earned many sacks, but they've produced 11 interceptions and have kept teams to 18.5 points per game.

7. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have a solid run defense and secondary. That's allowed them to hold teams to 23 points. When the Dolphins were scoring rapidly earlier this season, they had more possessions on defense than most teams, which is why their numbers are a bit skewed on a per-game level.

6. Cleveland Browns

The Browns have held teams to 15.9 points per game, with only 145 yards in the air and 89.8 yards on the ground. They're one of the best defenses in the NFL.

5. Dallas Cowboys

Dallas has two more interceptions than the Browns and a safety.

4. New Orleans Saints

The Saints lead the league in interceptions this year.

3. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens have earned 35 sacks and another 16 turnovers. They've also held teams to 262.6 yards per game and have the most momentum heading into Week 10.

2. San Francisco 49ers

In eight games, the Niners have allowed only 17.5 points per game, with nine interceptions and 21 sacks. They've fallen out of the top spot but are still one of the best defenses in the NFL.

1. New York Jets

The Jets lost last week but still got the top spot. The defense is fantastic in every which way. The offense needs to help them out a bit.
