The 2024-25 NFL MVP race is down to just Lamar Jackson vs. Josh Allen, with Allen maintaining his slim lead in the final week of the regular season.
Jackson displayed his speed once again on Christmas, racking up three total touchdowns including a 48-yard run against the Texans. After everyone thought the fight might be over in Week 16 when Allen put up six touchdowns, Jackson reignited the debate last week and saw his odds soar back up from +1000 to +200.
Jackson and the Ravens will host the Cleveland Browns on Saturday afternoon as they look to lock up the NFC North crown and earn a home game with the No. 3 seed. They are massive -20 favorites against the banged-up Browns, who will turn to their fourth-string QB in Bailey Zappe.
Can Lamar Jackson dazzle the voters with one final showcase on Saturday and steal the award away from Josh Allen? Let's look at the latest NFL MVP odds as we enter Week 18.

Lamar Jackson NFL MVP Odds
The Ravens superstar will look to put on one last show today against the Browns, and he will have a pretty easy time doing it against a tanking team. Jackson is just 45 yards short of 4,000 passing yards, which he will almost certainly eclipse today. He also has 39 touchdowns through the air, tied for second in the NFL. He's added 850 rushing yards and four more touchdowns to go along with that.
Jackson has been extremely accurate this year, throwing for only four interceptions and a 67% completion rate. He leads the NFL in QBR at 78, as well as yards per pass attempt at 8.9. He's looking to be the first QB to ever go 4,000 pass yards and 800 rush yards in a single season today, something that will aid his case.
Jackson won the MVP last year in 2023, as well as back in 2019. He has essentially eclipsed almost all of his stats from a year ago, especially in the passing touchdown department. But the team hasn't been quite as successful with five losses, where a year ago they were sitting in the No. 1 seed drivers seat.
Josh Allen NFL MVP Odds
Meanwhile, Josh Allen has slightly lower stats at 3,700 yards through the air with 28 touchdowns and six picks. But he has 12 rushing touchdowns to Jackson's four, and has carried his seemingly less-talented team to greater heights. The Bills were the only team to defeat the Chiefs this year, something the Ravens were close to doing, but couldn't quite pull it off.
Allen maintains a 77% chance to win the award with his -350 odds, and there's certainly something to be said about voters looking for a fresh face on the award after Jackson already won twice. He's done less with more after losing Stefon Diggs and playing with a lot of rookies on offense. The team has done much better than anyone thought thanks to Allen's stardom, which can help bridge the slight gap in stats between these two.
It's also important to note that Allen won't play on Sunday against the Patriots outside of the first snap. So his stats are set in stone here, and he will let the Bills record and No. 2 playoff seed in the AFC do the talking for him in this race.
