Well Opening Day is finally here and I couldn't be happier - we really feasted down the stretch last season on the diamond and I am ready for another solid year in the MLB. The second game I want to dive into today takes us to Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas as the defending world champion Texas Rangers meet with the Chicago Cubs for an inter league clash that should be one of the best opening series' of the season.

Chicago Cubs vs. Texas Rangers Prediction
Chicago made some moves in the off season to improve and will without question be contenders for the NL Central this season (it pains me to say this as a Cardinals fan but the days of the Cubs being good are returning) and I think they try to set the tone early this season. With that said, I do not expect a lackadaisical effort here from the Rangers and I think the advantage goes to the team from the Lone Star State.
Justin Steele is a great starting pitcher and a guy I am willing to back down the stretch this season but tonight he faces one of the bet teams in the league against southpaws. The Rangers crushed left handed pitching last season and are primed to do it again.
Nathan Eovaldi has some history with the Cubs and they have hit him decently well but that was back when he was with the Red Sox and I think he has been much better in a Rangers uniform. I like the home team in this spot and think they are well priced.
