St. Louis Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction
A little frustrated I did not take this bet yesterday like I said I would have done but hey, it happens. I am going to ride it here and tomorrow for sure. I was slightly skeptical with the Birds only seeing Paul Goldschmidt produce on Thursday (the Cards had three hits, Goldschmidt had three hits) but now that St. Louis has seen a couple other guys from the top of the lineup help contribute and the guys put up a crooked number, I like them to get going.
The task is tough and they know that, but at the end of the day, if you are the team you believe you are and want to go earn another World Series title, you have to beat a team like this and could very likely have to beat them down the road. The Cardinals need the bats to wakeup, four runs in two games against the Dodgers will not cut it. Bobby Miller is a stud, and not a guy you have to want to go try and piece up, but at the end of the day starting your season 0-3, potentially 0-4 is such a kick in the gut for a really talented team.
On the flip side however, the Dodgers don't care. They will keep mashing as I said they would Thursday, and with 13 runs through two games, I expect more. The main guys in the Dodgers lineup have produced, but not all in the same game yet and that is inevitable. Look for the over to hit for the sixth time in the last seven games head to head.
