I love Sunday Night Baseball, especially when we get a terrific matchup like we are getting here in this one. Two of baseball's best franchises clash tonight in the final game of this four game series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Los Angeles Dodgers and I think we see action in the final game of the series.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction

Going right back to the well here, love this spot and think we see runs again tonight, especially after the way they got it done last night. Scoreless through five, the bats woke up late and we saw 11 runs down the stretch to cash the over. I do not see them taking as long to open things up here tonight.

Southpaw Steven Matz is a solid starter but he should have trouble with the Dodgers tonight, the expected slash line for him here is .248/.316/.436. Freddie Freeman is slashing .294/.351/.500 against him. Shohei Ohtani has actually struggled against Matz so I expect him to try and get one back on the ledger for himself tonight.

The Cardinals go the monkey off their backs with a much needed win last night and while the task is tough, they have a chance to leave a tough series 2-2 if they can win tonight. With that said, they pulled out all the stops with the bullpen last night to get the win so they know they need to swing the sticks and outscore Gavin Stone and the Dodgers today if they want to have a chance in this one. I like runs to be scored.
