MLB Parlay Picks: Targeting Chicago Cubs, Arizona Diamondbacks to Find Success on Thursday Night

MLB Parlay Picks: Targeting Chicago Cubs, Arizona Diamondbacks to Find Success on Thursday Night

Small slate today but some solid spots to choose from this evening, and I want to have some fun; that's part of the reason we do this right? Two games to choose from and I choose both, so here is a plus money two-leg parlay I am digging for this Thursday night slate.

Miami Marlins vs. Chicago Cubs Prediction

Part of this is riding the Cubs, the other part is a pure fade of what we have seen out of the Marlins this year. A.J. Puk is sporting a 5.91 ERA on the young season, and has to take on a hungry squad that loves to win at home and is coming off a good day with the bats. The Chicago Cubs are 5-1 at home this season and sporting an OPS just shy of .900 at Wrigley Field. Season debut for Jameson Taillon and I am not sure what to expect, but with the quality of pitching we have seen from the Marlins bullpen (or lack thereof), I think the Cubbies hold an edge here in this home spot.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Francisco Giants Prediction

I think this line is favorable for the Diamondbacks. The reigning National League champions are 9-10 on the season coming off of a series loss to the Cubs despite scoring 17 runs in the series; the problem is they scored 12 of those runs in one game, and not enough in the others. Early game yesterday so travel is not as big of an issue, and they have historically seen Logan Webb well. On 92 at bats, they are slashing .315/.363/.419 with 29 hits. The Giants have historically hit Ryan Nelson well too, but this Giants offense is really struggling to score right now.
