5 minMLB PARLAY PICK TODAY: WEDNESDAY'S MLB PARLAY FROM CALLING OUR SHOT
Welcome to the parlay of the day, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. I'll be the first to admit, the Parlays have gone a bit cold. After a 5-0 start to the season, we are struggling. Today, we try to address that struggle with a change in philosophy. We are switching it up. Instead of two hitters, we have two bets we love on the slate that we will parlay together. See what I mean below.
WEDNESDAY'S MLB PARLAY
LEG 1: Mets vs. Giants UNDER 10.5 Runs
Our first leg of this is an UNDER. It involves the Mets and Giants matchup. While I like the regular under at eight, it's wise to buy ourselves a few runs with the 10.5. The Mets offense has really struggled the last three games, putting up a combined three runs, they look ready to get back home.
The Giants will face off against Sean Manaea, who pitched well for the Giants last year...a little revenge game for him. Blake Snell will start for the Giants, he has looked bad this year, but I believe this is the start things change for him. Snell pitched against the Mets once last year, he threw six Innings of scoreless baseball, striking out 11 Mets too. I like both bullpens. This feels like a great spot to take an UNDER. We bought it up to 10.5, but if you're feeling bold, I like the 8 or 8.5 under too.
LEG 2: Brewers vs. Pirates: Both Teams to Score 1+ Runs in the 1st 5 Innings
Our second leg of this parlay is a unique one. You might be a little confused, so here's how you bet this on DraftKings. Go to the 'Innings' tab under the Brewers and Pirates game and you'll see a sub-section titled "Both Teams to Score X+ Runs - 1st 5 Innings"...that's where you will select 1+ Runs. Simple. Here's why we like it.
We really like in this game: runs. They should come early with the pitchers today. Both teams are using a bullpen game where the starters don’t go deep into the game.
Josh Fleming will start for the Pirates followed by Quinn Priester. While Fleming has a low ERA, Priester does not. Priester is rocking an 8.31 ERA and should give the Brewers plenty of chances to score. This Pirates offense gets to face off Bryse Wilson and the Bullpen arms that follow. Wilson has allowed a run in 4 of 7 bullpen appearances this year. I trust the Pirates to get the timely hits against him and get us at least one run through five innings.
