April 30 Best MLB Strikeout Props

Cole Ragans Under 5.5 Ks (-140) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

While Cole Ragans is a tremendous young talent and a dominant strikeout pitcher, he's facing a Blue Jays lineup that rarely strikes out against lefties.

Toronto's projected lineup has struck out just 16.3% of the time against lefties since last season. Only Davis Schneider has struck out more than 19% against lefties.

Meanwhile, Ragans has also allowed 29% of line drive contact to righties and has only induced 42% of ground balls. If the Blue Jays put the ball in play, they could actually see some solid success against Ragans.

Therefore, I'll take Ragans to go Under 5.5 Ks.

Jon Gray Under 4.5 Ks (+130) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

It's worth a shot taking Gray to go Under 4.5 Ks at +130 odds.

Gray has struck out 28.4% of batters this season. That's an above-average rate. However, last season, he only struck out 22.1% of batters in a much larger sample size.

Gray has struggled against lefties this season, giving up an ISO of .233 and wOBA of .410. He's also allowed more than 32% of fly balls and has induced under 40% of ground balls against lefties.

Meanwhile, the Nationals have more lefties than righties in the projected lineup. Since last year, the projected lineup has struck out just 19.2% of the time against righties. Only Jesse Winker, Nick Senzel, and Eddie Rosario have struck out at an above-average rate against righties.

I'll take my chances at this price. Grab the Under.

Carlos Carrasco Under 3.5 Ks (-111) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

Carlos Carrasco has only struck out 18.9% of batters this season. It's higher than last year's average of 15.8% but still a below-average number for starting pitchers.

It doesn't make it better that Carrasco is in line to face an Astros projected lineup that has only struck out 17.5% of the time against righties.

In the lineup, only Chas McCormick has struck out more than 22% of the time against righties. Carrasco really doesn't have many targets and has also allowed a .220 ISO and wOBA of .381 to his first 106 batters.

That's certainly not ideal, either. Houston has the potential to knock him out of the game fairly early. Let's take the Under in this one too.
