The player I’m targeting in this game is Dodgers catcher Will Smith. Will Smith has been having a great month in July, hitting .283 with a .964 OPS. He also has four home runs in 46 at-bats this month. However, he has not hit one in eight games straight now. I think that will change tonight. Will Smith is going up against Giants pitcher Blake Snell tonight. This is a great matchup for Will Smith because he has been absolutely crushing left-handed pitching this season. Will Smith has been one of the most consistent and best hitters against lefties this year, averaging a .321 batting average with a 1.057 OPS. He has 14 extra-base hits in 84 at-bats against lefties this year with six home runs overall. Additionally, Will Smith has a great history against Blake Snell, hitting two home runs in 28 at-bats against him.
