Well to kick off our Friday night action, we have an interleague clash between two of the best teams in baseball through the first half of the season. The Cleveland Indians (61-41) visit the Philadelphia Phillies (64-38) in the City of Brotherly Love for this weekend clash between titans.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Philadelphia Phillies Prediction
Philly has not been too hot here out for the gate since returning from the All-Star break, but this is a good spot for them at home. The Phillies are one of the best home squads in baseball sitting at 37-16 at Citizens Bank Park this season, and they tend to rebound from losses well, especially with a day off.
Christopher Sanchez has the ball for the Phillies, and while his 2.97 ERA on the season is great, his 1.50 ERA at home is even better. The bats give him a tremendous amount of support with the boys having won his last eight starts but they are spectacular at home. Philly leads the league in run differential at +109 on the season but the home away split is drastic - +85 at home, +24 away. They finished last year +111 runs total and could eclipse that here tonight.
Ben Lively is not impressive and has really struggled lately; he gives up a lot of fly balls which is very dangerous against this lineup, especially at the park where they crush. I like this spot for Philly to get back on track and start the weekend off with a bang.
