Back the the diamond tonight as the Arizona Diamondbacks (63-52) host the Philadelphia Phillies (68-46) in a battle between two squads hoping to make a run at the postseason this year.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Prediction
Arizona was struggling in the first half of the season and appeared as though their run to the World Series last year was not going to be repeated, but now after an 8-2 stretch across their last 10 games, the D-Backs find themselves tied for second in the NL West with the Friars and are just three games back from the first place Los Angeles Dodgers.
On the flip side, Philly is just 3-7 across their last 10, but they have won three of their last four, including two back-to-back wins over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the last two nights. They are 3-3 across their last two series' on this road trip, but that's better than the homestand after the All-Star Break because they got slaughtered in Philly.
Last week I would have rather stubbed my toes than bet the Phillies, but I am going back to the well tonight. The boys from the city of brotherly love were struggling hard, but they finally won a series again last night and I expect them to roll this momentum forward. Despite a stretch of really bad baseball, they still hold a 7.5-game lead in the division over the Braves thanks to their spectacular run at the start of the season, but I don't think they just want to hold the lead, they want to get back to their winning ways. This is the second meeting between the two squads this season, and while Philly took the first series two games to one, this is still a revenge spot after the Diamondbacks sent the Phillies packing in game seven of the NLCS last year, one game shy of the World Series.
