This one is pretty simple, we need 2+ runs in the first 5 innings from Texas. The Rangers face Tanner Houck who they already lit up for six runs a week and a half ago. He faced them last year too, and allowed two runs in just four innings of work. I expect this trend to continue tonight.

Texas may not look as good as last year, but they are still a team that deserves to be respected. Houck peaked early in the season, and has since come to reality. He is a good pitcher, not a great one. He has an earned runs number at 2.5 and an outs prop at 17.5, so getting 1.5 through the first 15 outs has value.
Boston is going for the sweep tonight and Texas should come out motivated to make sure that doesn’t happen. The bats haven’t been the issue, it’s been the pitching.
