Toronto Blue Jays vs. Los Angeles Angels Prediction: Can Angels Avoid Sweep Against Jose Berrios, Blue Jays?

The Angels have lost the first two games of their series at home against the Blue Jays. Will Tyler Anderson “stop the bleeding” on Wednesday night, leading the Angels to their first victory of the series?

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Los Angeles Angels Prediction

I was on the Angels last night, and although they had plenty of runners on base, they lost 6-1. Nobody is going to want to go back to the Angels after a disappointing performance on Tuesday, but their best starting pitcher is on the mound. Tyler Anderson and his sub-3.00 ERA should have an edge early-on in this game on Wednesday…

Jose Berrios will be on the mound for the Blue Jays for the final game of this series. He has struggled immensely on the road this season. At home, he owns a 2.83 ERA. On the road, Berrios’ ERA skyrockets to 5.29, nearly double his ERA at home. The Angels haven’t shown it this series yet, but they score runs at home. I’m trusting them to salvage the series on Wednesday night, and a matchup against Berrios could be exactly what the Angels need to get going.

It’s hard to sweep a team in baseball, especially on the road. Although the Angels have cost sharp bettors in the first two games of this series, now isn’t the time to jump ship. The Angels have moved from underdogs to favorites for this late-night matchup, an interesting move considering more than 60% of the bets are currently backing Toronto (on VSiN). The Angels are starting to look like one of the sharper plays on the MLB slate…

Lock-in the Angels on the moneyline before the odds get any worse. Although they haven’t treated bettors well in the first two games of this series, Tyler Anderson has looked sharp of late and was an All Star earlier this year. I trust him enough to shove and considering Berrios’ struggles on the road, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Angels blew them out in the final game of this series.
