The Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees clash from the Bronx on Wednesday Night for Game 5 of the 2024 World Series.
The Dodgers had an opportunity to celebrate on enemy territory last night but came up short. Game 4 was filled with tense moments, including a Yankees fan ripping the ball out of Mookie Betts' glove despite him making a catch, but eventually, the New York bats came alive.
We're still waiting for Aaron Judge to show up in this World Series, however, it's Yankees ace Gerrit Cole that will have all eyes on him tonight with a chance to head back to LA for Game 6.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Yankees Prediction
Los Angeles dominated the first three games of the series, jumping out to a commanding 3-0 lead without getting much resistance from the Yankees and many questioned what version of the Yankees we would see on Tuesday.
The top of the first inning could not have gone much worse for the Yankees as Freddie Freeman set the MLB record for consecutive World Series games with a home run, sending a two-run homer into the right-field stands to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead.
New York threatened in the bottom of the first but left two men in scoring position. Alex Verdugo drove in the first run of the game for the Yankees with an RBI groundout to cut the lead to 2-1.
In the bottom of the third inning, the Yankees loaded the bases with one out. Anthony Rizzo sent a lazy fly ball to shortstop for the second out of the inning. Anthony Volpe stepped to the plate with a chance to flip the momentum of this series. The New Jersey native delivered the biggest swing of his young career crushing a go-ahead grand slam.
The grand slam gave the Yankees a commanding 5-2 lead, which was quickly cut to a 5-4 advantage, but catcher Austin Wells smacked a home run into the right field stands, giving New York a 6-4 lead and they never looked back.
Tonight, the Yankees will hand the ball to their ace Gerrit Cole. Cole is 1-0 with a 2.82 ERA in the playoffs.
The Dodgers will turn to California native Jack Flaherty. Flaherty is 1-2 in the playoffs with a 6.10 ERA.
