Miami Heat vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction
Does Vegas know something we don't?
Before we get to the injury and absence situation for the Heat, we should note that if any team deserves the benefit of the doubt that they can overcome the lack of a full roster, it's Miami. They've lost as many games from key players for various reasons as any team in the NBA. Through it all, they've rocketed to the top of the East and are neck and neck with the Warriors and Grizzlies for the second-best record in the league.

But right on their heels are the Philadelphia 76ers, who have been without Joel Embiid for a dozen games and have only had a second star for four. Those four games, of course, have been the ones with James Harden, in which Philly has put up 133, 125, 123, and 125 points. Offensively, they are arguably the best team in the league right now.
They are also completely whole. On the other hand, Miami will be missing Kyle Lowry for personal reasons, while Jimmy Butler (who missed Thursday's win against the Nets) and P.J. Tucker are questionable. Key reserves Max Strus and Caleb Martin are also listed as day-to-day.
Clearly, this line indicates the powers that be feel Butler will play, and maybe they're right. Even so, if it doesn't guarantee Miami anything. Take advantage of any remaining doubts about Philly while you still can. Take the points on the road.
