Brooklyn Nets vs. New York Knicks Prediction
The New York Knicks vs. The Brooklyn Nets will duel things out from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday evening for an Eastern Conference showdown. The battle of New York will be in full effect as the two squads fight for the bragging rights of the state tonight.
The Knicks have to feel good coming into this game fresh off a win over the best team in the NBA in, the Boston Celtics. Julis Randle was ultra-impressive in the win, and Jalen Brunson was not too shabby. The two combined for 62 points in the Knicks' winning effort. They would love a similar performance today on the road.
Brooklyn, meanwhile, enters play after a hard-fought loss in Philly followed up by a bad loss to the Pistons. The Nets will be without their superstar in, Kevin Durant, for a couple of weeks, but they are confident that they have the talent to compete in his absence. The top option will be Kyrie Irving, a star in his own right and has looked impressive as of late. Irving was not the man to blame for the Nets' loss vs. Philly, as he turned in a 38-point effort. The issue for the Nets has been their defense, as they have allowed 130 points in each of their last two games. They will have to be much better at the end of the floor tonight if they want to pull off the win.
I am backing the Nets to bounce back at home. The Knicks may get too much love today due to their strong performance in Boston. This feels like a good spot to fade the Knicks on the road after a big win like that, as I feel they will regress in this spot tonight. Brooklyn, meanwhile, is due to bounce back after a pair of losses, and I believe tonight is the night that they take care of business and get themselves back in the win column. I know they do not have Durant, but this is still an incredibly talented team that matches up well with the Knicks tonight. Let’s keep things rolling and cash in!
