The New York Liberty will welcome the Minnesota Lynx to the Barclays Center for Game 5 of the WNBA Finals. The Liberty nearly clinched in Game 4, but were unable to close it out in Minnesota on Friday night after a late flurry. Breanna Stewart and co. will have one last chance to secure their first WNBA Championship on Sunday night at home.
The Liberty blew a massive 20-point lead in the first game of the Finals, allowing the Lynx to creep back and steal one in overtime. They took Game 2 handedly at home, and then grabbed the third game in Minnesota with a second-half comeback of their own.
After letting it slip again in Game 4, the Liberty know that they can't make any mistakes tonight. They have largely dominated this series on the glass and held leads in every game, but will need to play four full quarters at home to hoist the trophy. Let's take a look at the latest Lynx vs. Liberty odds for Game 5.

Minnesota Lynx vs. New York Liberty Prediction for WNBA Finals Game 5
This series has been very back and forth, with both teams splitting in each city. The Liberty probably should have won three of the first four games, but the Lynx are relentless on defense and found a way to force mistakes by New York and steal a pair of games. As it heads back to Brooklyn, the Liberty should be able to out-rebound the Lynx by a wide margin with Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones, boasting much more size than the Lynx.
On Sunday night, we're also going to see some lock-down defense. These two were the best defensive squads in the league all year outside of the Connecticut Sun, and it will be on display tonight. Some of the earlier games in this series were shooting festivals, but they'll play tighter tonight. Much like an NBA Finals Game 7, these win or go home games are typically lower scoring and slower paced.
That's why we are going to grab the under in this Lynx vs. Liberty contest. With a 5.5 spread, we are going to avoid making a play on that key number. It will likely come down to foul shots at the end if the Liberty posses a 3-5 point lead late, and it's anyone's game on the spread. This should be a close, low-scoring game in the fourth quarter, and the possessions will be much longer with fewer shot attempts.
