Tight end RJ Maryland has been the favorite target of Stone. The Southlake, Texas native leads the team with 462 yards and seven touchdowns.
Quarterback Michael Pratt leads Tulane. Pratt has thrown for 2,168 yards, 21 touchdowns, and four interceptions.
Freshman Makhi Hughes is a star in the making. The freshman has rushed for 1,246 Years and seven touchdowns.
Chris Brazzell II has been the top option in the passing game. The freshman leads the team with 670 yards and five touchdowns.
SMU VS. TULANE PICK
SMU is currently playing great football, but this is a tough spot for them on the road.
Tulane has been a great home team this season, and that will continue on Saturday.
These teams are pretty evenly matched across the board, but I give Tulane the edge in two significant areas.
The first is at quarterback. Pratt brings experience into this game and has played in conference championship games before, which goes a long way in these situations.
The second is defense. Tulane and SMU have essentially the same defensive numbers. SMU allows opponents 19.3 points per game, while Tulane allows 19.4.
Tulane has the better athletes on defense and has a pass rush that will be more effective in this game.
The Green Wave will take care of business on Saturday.
