Ohio State vs. Notre Dame Prediction

Notre Dame came into the college football playoffs as the seventh overall seed. The Irish have posted a 14-1 record. Notre Dame's lone loss of the season came at home in Week 2 against Northern Illinois. Since the loss, Notre Dame has won 13 consecutive games.

Head coach Marcus Freeman has brought back a winning culture to this program. The Irish won a thriller in the semi-finals over Penn State to earn a trip to the National Championship.

Duke transfer Riley Leonard leads the Irish with 2,606 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Leonard has rushed for 866 yards and 16 touchdowns. Jeremiyah Love leads the ground game with 1,122 yards and 17 touchdowns. Sophomore Jaden Greathouse has racked up 464 receiving yards to lead the team. Notre Dame ranks second in points allowed per game (14.3).

Ohio State posted a record of 13-2. Ryan Day's team came into the playoffs ranked 8th in the nation. Despite the low ranking, Ohio State had one of the most talented teams in the bracket. However, a loss in the final week at home against Michigan eliminated them from the Big Ten Championship game.

The Buckeyes have bounced back tremendously from the loss. Ohio State blew out Tennessee and first-ranked Oregon to advance to the semi-finals. OSU handled Texas in a low-scoring affair to earn a trip to the Championship game.

West Chester, PA native Will Howard leads the offense with 3,779 passing yards, 33 touchdowns, and ten interceptions. TreyVeyon Henderson leads the ground game with 967 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. Freshman star Jeremiah Smith leads the Buckeyes with 1,227 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. Ohio State ranks first in points allowed per game (12.2).

Ohio State vs. Notre Dame Pick

I am shocked to see the spread at 8.5.

Notre Dame has proven they can slow down elite offensive teams.

We will see a close back-and-forth contest that favors the underdog.

The Irish will use their ground game to control the pace of this game and limit the Buckeye's total possessions.

We will ride with the underdog to close out our college football season!
