I am turning to the services of Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. He signed with the Chiefs in the off-season after multiple productive seasons playing in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers. The 28-year-old is seen as a burner kind of wide receiver and a lot of his catches are typically over the top.
He ended the regular season with 42 catches and 687 yards. That’s an average of 16.4 yards per game. His line for the Super Bowl sits at 35.5. The reason for that? Kansas City is extremely banged up at the wide receiver position.
They will be without Mecole Hardman who is an experienced guy and one of the favorite targets of Patrick Mahomes. Their other wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster comes into this game nursing an injury.
I am going to back the over for Marquez Valdes-Scantling in this spot. He is one of the best threats that the Chiefs have, and in this kind of game script, I believe that he flies over this number.
