Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys Prediction: Should You Fade Jalen Hurts, Eagles on SNF?

The Philadelphia Eagles might be 10-2 at the top of the NFC East, but they face their toughest challenge of the season on Sunday night in Dallas. Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are looking to dethrone the Eagles on their home turf. Which NFC East powerhouse will come out victorious on Sunday Night Football, and even more importantly, which one will cover.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys Prediction

There are three quarterbacks at the top of the NFL MVP odds, Brock Purdy, Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott. All of their odds are between (+300) and (+400) to win the MVP award. This game will be a huge deciding factor in this award, and I’m giving the edge to Dak Prescott at home here.

This might surprise some people, but the Eagles have the fourth-worst defense in opposing passing yards per game this season. The Cowboys put up the third most passing yards per game this season. Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb have a great matchup tonight against Darius Slay and this overrated secondary that’s been getting cooked.

If we haven’t seen five straight overs in primetime games, I’d probably be taking the over in this one. Instead, I’m going to back the Cowboys to do what they’ve been doing all year: to dominate through the air.

The Eagles got the best of Dak and the Cowboys back in November, but the Cowboys put up over 370 yards through the air in that contest, over 150 yards more than the Eagles. We know how these NFC East showdowns go, typically these teams will split the season series no matter how good or bad they are.

I’m willing to bet that the Cowboys even up the series this year and get revenge on an overrated Eagles team that’s had luck on their side for the majority of the season. The luck has to run out at some point for the Eagles, and it could be tonight as they face one of the best defenses in the NFL. Fade the Eagles, and back the Cowboys to cover the spread on Sunday Night Football tonight.
