The last time Aaron Rodgers played at MetLife, he saw his season end before completing a pass in a Jets uniform. Rodgers went on to miss the rest of the 2023 season, setting up for a revenge year in 2024.
The veteran has looked strong after two weeks. Rodgers turned back the clock last week against the Titans, making multiple jaw-dropping throws. After two weeks, Rodgers has thrown for 343 yards and three touchdowns.
One surprising star for the Jets has been 20-year-old Braelon Allen. The former Wisconsin standout is the youngest player in the NFL. Allen has two touchdowns on the young season.
One issue for the Jets early in the season has been their defense. New York ranks 25th in scoring defense, allowing 24.5 points per game.
New England came into the season expected to be one of the worst teams in football. First-year head coach Jerod Mayo takes over this storied franchise.
The last two seasons have been disappointing for New England. One positive for the Patriots is that the poor seasons have landed them high draft picks.
This season, the Patriots selected former North Carolina signal-caller Drake Maye third overall. Maye starts the season as the backup, and will likely find his way into the lineup later in the season.
The Patriots pulled off the biggest upset of Week 1, taking down the Cincinnati Bengals on the road. In Week 2, the Patriots forced overtime but came up short against the Seattle Seahawks.
