The Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants will meet in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles begin this contest supporting a record of 3-2 on the season. Philly entered the season as the betting favorite to win the NFC East. After six weeks, the Washington Commanders lead the Eagles by 0.5 games in the division. With a win today and a Commanders' loss, the Eagles will sit atop the division.
This team has enough talent to compete for a Super Bowl on paper. The problem for Philly is staying healthy early in the season. The Eagles dealt with significant injuries on both sides of the ball early in the year.
Most recently, it was announced tackle Jordan Mailata would miss at least four games, and tight end Dallas Goedert would be inactive today. Earlier in the season, Philly had to play without their top two receivers AJ Brown and Devonta Smith. Both Brown and Smith returned in last week's win over the Cleveland Browns.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants Prediction
Signal caller Jalen Hurts leads the Eagles offense. Hurts has thrown for 1,194 yards, six touchdowns, and four interceptions.
Saquon Barkley will meet his old team for the first team since signing with Philly. Barkley has been great at the start of the season, rushing for 482 yards and four touchdowns.
Devonta Smith has been the top target in the passing game, racking up 303 yards and two touchdowns.
New York begins this game with a 2-4 record. Brian Daboll's team began the year expected to finish in last place in the NFC East. Early in the season, that prediction looks fairly accurate.
The Giants have struggled over the past few seasons. Since 2017, New York has posted a winning season just once, when they went 9-7 in 2022. New York has not won 10 games or more since the 2016 season. The Giants have also struggled mightily against the Eagles over the past decade, with a record of 4-15 in head to head matchups.
Daniel Jones commands the Giants offense. The former Duke standout has thrown for 1,343 yards, six touchdowns, and four interceptions.
Veteran Devin Singletary has dashed for a team-best 221 yards and two touchdowns.
Rookie sensation Malik Nabers will return to the lineup today. Nabers leads the squad with 386 yards and three touchdowns in four games.

While this play is square, the Eagles are the right side today.
Philly has dominated this Giants team and will continue to do so today.
I expect the Eagles to lean on former Giants star Saquon Barkley in his return to NY, and use the ground game to control the tempo of this contest.
The Giants offense has struggled at home this season, averaging 9.3 points per game.
Let’s stay hot on the gridiron!
