Vikings vs. Rams Prediction, Betting Picks, Latest Odds for Thursday Night Football

The Minnesota Vikings and the Los Angeles Rams will meet from So-Fi Stadium on Thursday Night Football.

Tonight will kick off Week 8 of the NFL season. Minnesota comes into this contest with a record of 5-1, which is tied for the best record in the NFC.

The Vikings suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday in a thriller against the Detroit Lions. The Lions led most of the game but a late comeback by the Vikings gave them a lead with less than one minute in the contest. Detroit stormed down the field late and set up a game-winning field goal opportunity, and kicker Jesse Bates split the uprights for the win. Minnesota will look to bounce back with a road win tonight.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Los Angeles Rams Prediction

Former USC star Sam Darnold leads this Vikings offense. Darnold is off to a strong start this season, throwing for 1,370 yards, 12 touchdowns, and five interceptions.

Veteran Aaron Jones leads the ground game with 443 yards and two touchdowns.

Superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been Darnold's favorite target, with 531 yards and five touchdowns.

Minnesota ranks 6th in points allowed per game (17.8).

Los Angeles comes into this game with a record of 2-4. The season has been disappointing so far for Sean McVay and company.

Injuries have been a significant concern for the Rams as they have played most of their games without Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. Kupp, the favorite target of quarterback Matthew Stafford, is expected to return tonight, which is a huge boost for this offense.

Los Angeles earned a 20-15 win at home on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. Three of the four Rams losses have come by one score. The Rams' most significant win of the season came in week three when they defeated the San Francisco 49ers.

Matthew Stafford has thrown for 1,392 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions.

Kyren Williams has dashed for 436 yards and a league-best eight rushing touchdowns.

Tutu Atwell leads the squad with 332 receiving yards.

The Rams' defense has allowed 25.7 points per game, ranking 25th in the NFL.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Los Angeles Rams Betting Picks

The betting public has been red-hot over the last two weeks.

That narrative will end tonight with a Rams cover.

Our oddschecker+ Betting Splits Tool shows us that 83 percent of the bets are on the Vikings spread, and 90 percent of the bets are on the Vikings moneyline.

Minnesota will continue to regress after their 5-0 start to the season.

The Rams will be healthier tonight than they have all season, as I expect them to win this game outright.
