Houston Texans vs. New York Jets Prediction
The New York Jets will host the Houston Texans from MetLife Stadium on Thursday Night Football. Tonight is a true must-win for the Jets, who start this contest with a 2-6 record. The Jets entered the season with Super Bowl aspirations and have been the most disappointing team in the NFL.
Since firing former head coach Robert Saleh and acquiring Davante Adams, the Jets have been winless. New York has lost five consecutive games, which is the longest losing streak in the AFC. A loss tonight will essentially end the Jets' season.
Houston has mirrored the Jets record at 6-2. Last season, Houston was one of the biggest surprises in football, winning the AFC South and defeating the Cleveland Browns in round one of the playoffs. Entering this season, the league was aware of how good this Texans team was.
